'DWTS' Pro Artem Chigvintsev's Mugshot Released After Domestic Violence Arrest
Artem Chigvintsev, a professional dancer on the popular TV show "Dancing With the Stars" (DWTS), was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence on January 13, 2023.
Chigvintsev's mugshot was released by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and shows him with a bloody lip and cuts on his face.
The incident occurred at Chigvintsev's home in Los Angeles, where he allegedly got into a physical altercation with his girlfriend, who called the police.
According to the police report, Chigvintsev's girlfriend had visible injuries, including a cut on her head.
Chigvintsev was booked into the Van Nuys Jail and later released on $50,000 bail.
He is scheduled to appear in court on February 23, 2023.
Chigvintsev has denied the allegations and said he is cooperating with the investigation.
"I am deeply saddened by the allegations made against me," Chigvintsev said in a statement.
"I am fully cooperating with the investigation and am confident that the truth will come out."
Chigvintsev's arrest comes just days after he was announced as a cast member on the upcoming season of "Dancing With the Stars."
It is unclear if Chigvintsev will still participate in the show.
